Govinda's Daughter Narmada Is Upset

Narmada Ahuja's long-in-the- planning B-Town dream seems to be in limbo and this is depressing the youngster hugely.


In March, it was announced that Govinda's daughter would make her debut opposite Olympic medallist boxer Vijender Singh.

The project titled Manchali, was to be directed by Lovely Singh. There was also buzz that Govinda and Salman Khan would do cameos in the movie.

However after the announcement, the movie plan disappeared into oblivion. Last month, the boxer tied the knot with Delhi girl Archana Singh and now, there are doubts whether he will remain a part of the film given his marital status as well as his boxing schedules.

Says a source, "Forget about being invited for the wedding, Narmada was unaware that he was getting married. She came to know only after the media reported it!"

Adds the source, "Narmada has been upset about what's happening. She has waited for a really long time for her debut. There was a great deal of speculation that Salman Khan was to help launch her.

But when Sonakshi Sinha was favoured in <i>Dabangg</i>, Narmada took a backseat. Finally, when <i>Manchali</i> was announced, the star daughter felt that things were happening at last."

Narmada's spokesperson however maintains, <i>Manchali</i> is on course. The film goes on the floors soon with Vijender. It has not been delayed."

Soon after her debut announcement, Narmada had visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar as reported 'Seeking divine intervention'.

She had then stated, "I wanted to visit the Golden Temple for long. Now, when I am beginning my film preparations, I wanted to seek blessings."

Another star offspring who has been waiting in the wings for long to make his debut is Tiger, son of Jackie and Ayesha Shroff. Though several filmmakers are interested, nothing has taken off as yet as reported in Hitlist, June 3.
